Niu-li, a Bornean Orangutan, was born on April 11, 2012 at Taipei Zoo. Mom Xiang-niu was very attentive but was not producing enough milk. After two days of observation, keepers decided to it was necessary to hand-rear Niu-li, who has thrived, and celebrated her first birthday just this week!
